About this Tour
Explore one of Malta?s unspoilt villages in the south of the island. Together with our guide you will be led to a maltese pjazza along winding narrow streets where progress did not leave its mark. Proceed to the Zurrieq valley where there will be the possibility to take a boat trip into the renowned Blue Grotto and its azure sea.(Boat fee is not included - weather permitting). Leaving Wied iz-Zurrieq we tour past aricultural land and vineyards up to the idyllic ﬁshing village of Marsaxlokk. Admire the waterfront lined with luzzus painted in traditional colours that add colour to this serene bay the site of landings by both the Turkish and French troops during Malta's heroic past. Time will be given to browse around the well known local market held daily in this village. After lunch we visit the well preserved Tarxien Temples group which provide ample evidence of the skill and artistic abilities of our ancient forefathers. Our day comes to an end at the Ghar Dalam Cave, the settlement of the very earliest settlers on the isalnd.
